When life throws you lemons, Make lemonade….

December 26, 20253 min read

They say when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
But what if I told you I took those lemons, added...

But what if I told you I took those lemons, added sparkling water, poured them into pink bottles — and built my own damn lemonade factory?

Because sometimes, life isn’t just about surviving. It’s about rising. Reinventing. Rebuilding a life that’s bold, juicy, and unapologetically yours.

Let’s rewind for a moment.

In November 2024, after three years in sales, I hit a familiar crossroads — facing that existential question many of us do: What am I doing with my life? What’s my purpose?

This wasn’t my first reinvention. Far from it. My life has been a series of pivots, heartbreaks, and unexpected plot twists.

One of the biggest came in April 2017.

It was a Friday night. I was folding laundry in the lounge room when my then-husband walked in and, without warning, told me the marriage was over. No discussion. No buildup. Just a single sentence that shattered everything.

We had a trip planned to visit his mother on Sunday (her dementia had worsened) a trip planned with my extended family: my parents, sisters, and their families.

What followed was one of the most disorienting, emotionally brutal times of my life.

Back then, I was running a kids’ education business. Amidst the chaos of separation, I founded my divorce coaching business in 2019 — partly to support others, partly to earn a living. Because let’s be real: navigating divorce is an emotional, financial, psychological mindf*&%! I wanted to offer clarity, connection, and a sense of empowerment to others walking the same path.

I ran both businesses in tandem. Then COVID hit — and like many others, my world shifted overnight. Between homeschooling, parenting through lockdowns, and financial uncertainty, I made the heartbreaking decision to close the kids’ education business and go back to work fulltime. It was gutting, but necessary.

I went into survival mode — for my family, my kids, and myself. I re-entered the workforce fulltime, after years of working part time so I could raise children.

Being a mum has always been my dream. I remember my own mum telling me in my 20s, “Live your life. Don’t rush into marriage or kids.” I guess I didn’t listen.

After finishing Year 12 in the top 3% of the state, I followed the path expected of me as a Vietnamese daughter — medicine, dentistry, or something “respectable.” I chose pharmacy. I earned the degree, made lifelong friends, but deep down, I knew: I wasn’t passionate about prescriptions — I was passionate about people.

That passion guided me from pharmacist to children’s educator, to coach, to single mum carving out a new identity. Along the way, people told me I should share my story. And now? I’m starting to believe them.

This blog marks a new chapter. Not just for me — but for anyone who’s ever wondered if they can rise after everything falls apart.

You’ll read about my journey from a 4-year-old Vietnamese refugee girl with a name no one could pronounce, to pharmacist, to mother of three, to entrepreneur, to woman rebuilding herself — again and again, this time with fire in her belly.

You’ll hear about Sydney Friends — a community I created to help people connect in real life. And Sydney Single Mums Hub — a space where single mums rediscover their voice and dream big again.

And you’ll see me step fully into the superpowers I’ve uncovered along the way:

💥

Activator — I bring the energy to make things happen.

💫

Individualisation — I see what makes people shine.

🎯

Strategic — I carve the path forward.

🪄

Woo — I create connection. I make people feel seen.

🧩

Arranger — I find the flow in the chaos.

This isn’t just a blog. It’s a movement — raw, real, messy, and magnificent.

Because we’re not just making lemonade anymore.
We’re crafting the sparkling, pink, fizzing-with-purpose kind.
And bottling it up to build a damn lemonade empire.
